Beas Kund is an easy-to-moderate trek near Manali, Himachal Pradesh, to a glacial lake at about 3,650 m that is regarded as the source of the Beas river. It usually takes 3–4 days from Solang Valley, with roughly 16–18 km of walking, and is done between mid-May and mid-October.
About the Beas Kund trek
The trail to Beas Kund leaves the ski slopes of Solang behind and follows the valley up past shepherd meadows at Dhundi and Bakarthach. The lake sits below the Pir Panjal peaks, with Hanuman Tibba, Friendship Peak and Shitidhar close above.
